Homo Ludens: Videogames to Understand the Present begins with an anthropological vision of gaming, and understanding video games as society's most widespread contemporary form of expression. It highlights how video games transcend the strict scope of the act of simply "playing."

The exhibition dedicates each of its six rooms to an area in which the human being — consciously or not — can relate to the video game. The tour of the rooms begins by showing how certain universal game mechanics survive, highlighting the mechanisms underpinning the industry. It shows the video game as a product that influences the way we work, consume and relate to one another.
