Hip Horns Brass Collective is a band made up of jazz and modern musicians from three different generations, with an original formula and a unique sound that sets them apart from the rest of Spain's brass bands.
Theirs is a powerful, versatile show, that mixes New Orleans music with hip hop and other styles of African-American music. In Barcelona, they have performed at various events, turning the streets of the Catalan capital into a proper carnival—a fiery jazz party, with the presence of a powerful section of horns and percussion.
Throughout their career they have recorded singles such as "The Dream" together with the London rapper R.A.E, "Thunder" in collaboration with trumpeter Miron Rafajlovic and "Brassvillain" with Las Ninyas del Corro, Ana Tijoux, Escandaloso Xpósito and Rodrigo Laviña. Their repertoire includes versions of iconic songs—"Figaro," "Meat Grinder," "All Caps"—to the sound of the metallic explosion that characterizes them and the voices of some of the best current rap artists.
