Grobert Duo is made up of Ksenia Axelroud and Joan Benejam, two musicians interested in research projects and repertoire recovery. Focused on the repertoire of the 18th and 19th centuries, in their concerts they recreate the spirit of musical evenings in halls and palaces of this era. Currently, they play with two Romantic guitars, replicas of Jean-Nicolas Grobert, from the year 1820, made by the luthier Alexander Hopkins.
You are presented with the program A "Night at the Opera" (Romantic Guitars - 1820), with the overture of Il Barbiere di Siviglia, by G. Rossini Arr. Mauro Giuliani (1781-1829), variations on a motif from the opera Der Freischütz, by CM Von Weber Joseph Kreutzer (1790–1840), and the overture to La Clemenza di Tito, by W. A. Mozart Arr. Mauro Giuliani (1781-1829).
