Head of the Department of Jazz and Modern Music at the Conservatori del Liceu, drummer Gonzalo del Val also has a storied career that extends beyond his academic functions. His trio will play at the Voll-Damm International Jazz Festival.
His trio includes two great references from the local Barcelona scene, pianist Marco Mezquida and double bass player David Mengual, plus a special guest: trumpeter Benet Palet.
This concert will be a kind of farewell to Del Val's latest album, Cancionero, which has received recognition from press and public alike.
