During the last year, the Italian double bass player Giuseppe Campisi has been writing new music, which he’s performed with some of the most outstanding musicians of the jazz scene on the Spanish peninsula.
His aim is to merge the beauty of classic jazz with improvised music in quartet format. He believes that creating music within a small ensemble increases the focus on each individual’s creative ideas. With Campisi's composition and performance on the double bass, Santi de la Rubia on tenor saxophone, and Jaume Llombart playing the guitar and Roger Gutiérrez on drums, the group sounds like nothing else on the current music scene.
Don’t miss their performance during the Voll-Damm International Jazz Festival.
