This year's film cycle at Park Güell is dedicated to the perspective of three women on the city, highlighting the work of directors who have contributed female perspectives to the cinematic narrative of Barcelona.
June 28: Costa Brava, Marta Balletbò-Coll (1995)
In post-Olympic Barcelona, a tour guide dreams of success in the world of monologues, overcoming a breakup and perhaps finding love again. (Original version in English, subtitled in Spanish).
July 4: La imatge permanent, Laura Ferrés (2023)
Carmen, an advertising photographer, looks for "authentic people" on the outskirts of Barcelona, which leads her to become interested in the personal stories of the women around her.
July 11: Santa Bàrbara, Anaïs Pareto Onghena (2022)
Bárbara, a Bolivian immigrant in Barcelona, lives a good life until her teenage son, whom she hasn't seen in years, arrives in the city.
Entrance is free, but seats are limited and must be reserved in advance.
