La Festival de Torroella de Montgrí started in 1981 with a small number of concerts held in the medieval town center, in the Gothic church of Sant Genís, the portico-ed Gothic-Renaissance town square and the late 17th-century former Augustinian monastery.

Today the festival lives on continuing the tradition of great music in a beautiful town. At the Festival de Torroella de Montgrí you will see a variety of classical bands and artists perform. Though it may well prove hard to focus on the music with the Gothic architecture surrounding you.
