Set in a medieval castle, hosting artists both big and small, the Castell de Peralada Festival is a unique and exceptional project. Through private initiative with a public vocation, the festival contributes to cultural enrichment through new commissions and new productions.
Hosting large concerts in the gardens and smaller, more intimate recitals in the church and cloister, you'll find a wide range of artists performing rock, pop, ballet and opera. This year's festival opens with tenor Freddie De Tommaso. Accompanied by the pianist and orchestra director, Audrey Saint-Gil, De Tommaso will offer the public a powerful recital consisting of a selection of some of Giuseppe Verdi's most beloved arias. The short but intense program also includes performances from vocalists Diana Damrau and Nicolás Testé, cellist Jordi Savall, dancer Israel Galván and many more.
