Far Caspian

As the youngest of five siblings, Joel Johnston spent his entire childhood watching his house progressively empty: he was the last to arrive in the family and therefore also the last to become independent. And perhaps precisely because of that, out of the need to find a way to kill time while his brothers were leaving, he learned to play a few instruments he and recorded it, publishing it under the alias Far Caspian. With the songs he himself sang, played, produced and mixed he began to become a small underground phenomenon. It's a story of pure DIY that soon connected with strangers from all over the world.
Three years after those first steps, Far Caspian has mutated from an individual project to a full band allowing his lo-fi pop to spread. Johnston, now based in Leeds, has added the talent of a couple of close friends so that his project grows in all directions with an extra groove. Titled Ways to Get Out, the new album will be presented in Spain in early 2022 on two dates co-produced by Primavera Sound and Xtrarradio: on March 2 they will perform at La Nau in Barcelona and on March 3 at El Sol in Madrid.
