Fabio Biondi began his international career at a very young age, motivated by a precocious cultural and musical curiosity that led him to collaborate as first violinist with the most prominent ensembles specialized in the performance of early music with instruments and original interpretation. In 1989 he founded Europa Galante which in a few years, thanks to extensive world concerts and incredible recording success, became the most famous and internationally awarded Italian ensemble specializing in early music.
Today, Fabio Biondi represents the constant search for style, a style free of dogmatic conditions and interested in original language. This inclination has led him to collaborate as a soloist and conductor with numerous orchestras: Santa Cecilia in Rome, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Halle Opera, Zurich Chamber Orchestra, Norwegian Chamber Orchestra, Mozarteum Orchestra of Salzburg, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra. In recent years, the repertoire has expanded: Anna Bolena by Bellini, Lucrezia Borgia by Donizetti, Macbeth, Il Corsaro and Ernani by Verdi—focusing its attention on pre-romantic and romantic authors in the perspective of a rediscovery of the original languages.
