Eduarda Bittencourt Simões, better known as Duda Beat (after the manguebeat counter-cultural movement, which has combined funk, hip hop, rock, electronics and maracatu since the 1990s), is one of the last great values of Brazilian music.
She won the APCA award—one of the main recognitions of Brazilian culture—in 2018 thanks to her first album, Sinto Muito (2018), and with the most recent Te Amo Lá Fora (2021) she has confirmed everything she pointed out in her first album: effervescent sounds that invite you to dance, with one foot in the musical styles of Pernambuco and the other in those of the westernmost part of the country.
