There is a curious contrast between Donny McCaslin's personality, his sweet voice, precise diction, ever-present smile, and his powerful, vigorous, robust, wild saxophone.
McCaslin recently released an impressive album, I Want More, which the label (Edition Records) defined as "a powerful expression of McCaslin's musical talent, which shows a muscular sound, innovative compositions and his commitment to go further with his music."
McCaslin returns to the Voll-Damm Jazz Festival, after his debut as leader in 2010, with another impactful quartet.
