Set in the Wild West in Texas in 1858, Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained (2012) tells the story of a former dentist turned bounty hunter on the trail of the murderous Brittle brothers. He buys the enslaved man Django, and promises to set him free if he helps him catch the killers. Django accepts with the intention of going in search of his wife, enslaved on a landowner's plantation.
"It is at the same time a spaghetti western of synthesis and a challenge to the imagery of an American western bent on brushing under the carpet any reference to slavery."—Jordi Costa.
Film will be shown in original version with Spanish subtitles.
