Versatile musician Devin Townsend is back! As a follow-up to his powerful Empath album, which was released in 2019, the pandemic unleashed a creative phase of greater introspection and experimentation in the Canadian that gave rise to The Puzzle and Snuggles, both released at the end of 2021 on HevyDevy records. These two works form a sonic kaleidoscope that in Devin's words is "more of a collaborative multimedia art project that acts as a bridge between Empath and the next record, and which gave me the opportunity to purge myself until I was completely and creatively free… The whole project is meant to express my idea of a light at the end of this dark tunnel we've been through."

Both works serve as a prelude to his next album, "a more traditional album," Lightwork, produced by Garth Richardson (Rage Against The Machine, Mudvayne, Nickelback), and slated for release in Spring 2023.
