CLUBS, Art on the dance floor will program installations, video art, performances of dance and live music, among other artistic disciplines, by 24 national and international artists in 9 live music spaces and clubs: The Pumarejo, FOC, Sala Salamandra and Sala River in L'Hospitalet, and Freedonia, Meteoro, Sala Apolo, Sidecar and Paral·lel 62 in Barcelona.

CLUBS 2023 will feature the video creations of four essential artists in the history of international contemporary art:  Bruce Nauman, one of the most important artists in the United States; the Swiss artist Sylvie Fleury, who works at the intersection between popular culture and high culture; Italian artist Vanessa Beecroft, known for her provocative public performances of naked female bodies, shaping performance art; and the German artist and filmmaker Julian Rosefeldt, known for his film “Manifesto”, starring Cate Blanchett, with a video creation paying tribute to Luis Buñuel.

In the performance field, the Mallorcan artist Joan Morey will present “DIPTYCH”, a projection and a performance that draws a parallel between the cloister of the nuns of the 12th century and the technological devices of globalized society. The young Valencian artists Mar García and Javi Soler will perform a performance where the body, clothing and voice, are proposed as active instruments that make up the piece. Additionally, there'll be performnaces by dancer and body-focused researcher SERAFINE1936; the English musician OXHY, and the Barcelona electro-pop group SOSUN.dance, with the tacky sound of the 80s.
