When the heat starts to arrive in Barcelona, the screens of the MIFDB are deployed in the squares of the city with a selection of films directed by and starring lesbians and bisexuals. A program to survive the summer with friends, companions, lovers or strangers in the city and expand the collective imaginations of current and historical queer directors.
Cinema fora de lloc ("out of place") is an outdoor film screening program organized by the Barcelona International Women's Film Festival. All of the films, both current and from the archives, defend an experience of sexual and gender dissidence. Through occupying public spaces Cinema fora de lloc forms part of the community, celebrating gender, sexuality and female creators in cinema.
