The story of the close friendship and shared musical adventures between pianist and composer Chucho Valdés and saxophonist, clarinetist and composer Paquito D'Rivera goes back more than 60 years. In recent decades their paths have rarely crossed, but now Chucho and Paquito are going to make up for lost time with the release of a new album, I Missed You Too (Yo también te he extrañado), which they will premiere at Porta Ferrada on July 30.

In this reunion they will be accompanied by an extraordinary band formed by Diego Urcola (trumpet and trombone), Armando Gola (double bass and electric bass), Dafnis Prieto (drums) and Roberto Jr. Vizcaíno (percussion). The repertoire will include old hits, classics from the Latin American repertoire as well as new compositions.
