Pianist Christian Sands performed for the first time at the Voll-Damm International Jazz Festival as a member of the Christian McBride trio — even back then his stage presence made it clear that his was a name that needed to be followed closely.

Praised by his contemporaries, Sands was inspired by the legendary Bruce Lee for his latest album, Be Water, which is a kind of unstoppable suite that seems to turn music into that liquid element. With the impeccable Yasushi Nakamura on double bass and the talented Clarence Penn on drums, they build an atmosphere in which everything flows in a natural yet powerful way.
