The Cerdanyola International Blues Festival (FIBC) started in 1988 as a re-vindication of the musical movement. The first edition was just one concert outside the city's Ateneu; since then, the festival has grown to 10 days, filling the streets and the city's concert halls with quality music. 

Many great local and intentional artists of this Afro-American music style, have performed in the festival throughout the years. The FIBC is one of the firsts festivals in Spain to promote the blues with a multidisciplinary approach; apart from concerts, the festival includes conferences, master classes, exhibitions and talks.
