Cerdanya International Film Festival 2024
to
Founded in 2010 , The Cerdanya International Film Festival began as a short film competition showcasing the heritage, nature, landscape and people in the area. Over the years what was once a small village festival has become a prestigious event—a must-see for filmmakers in the summer—and now is one of the most important events in the region. The program includes short and feature-length fiction, fantasy, animation and documentary films.
Last year's edition featured 150 shorts and feature length films, including Creatura, Elena Martín (Spain, 2023), Unicornios, Àlex Lora (Spain, 2023), Sica, Carla Subirana (Spain, 2023), Els encantats, Elena Trapé, (Spain, 2023), Chronique d'une liaison passagère Emmanuel Mouret (France, 2022) and The Quiet Girl, Colm Bairéad (Ireland, 2022).
Designed to bring cinema closer to the audience, activities include children’s sessions and late-night showings.
For film industry professionals, the festival offers workshops, conferences, exhibitions and guided tours around the main attractions of Puigcerdà.
Programing for the 2024 festival will be announced soon on the festival website.
