With the show Carmen, Carmen, Carmen, Tablao Flamenco Cordobes de Barcelona pays tribute to one of the most groundbreaking personalities of flamenco dance, Carmen Amaya.

This gypsy, born in the emigrant and gypsy neighborhood of Somorrostro in Barcelona, ​​daughter of a bailaora and a guitarist ("la Faraona" and "el Chino"), directed her professional journey from the taverns of the seaside bars of Barcelona to President Roosevelt's White House.

Iconoclast, self-taught, cantaora, a breaker of all molds ... her dance was a metaphor for rebellion, with an electrifying rhythm and an unconventional wardrobe, she was ahead of her time in every way.

Carmen Amaya is an elusive model from an academic point of view and does not fit into a single mold, that is why this show offers three versions of her varied aesthetic profile and even a version of her forays as a cantaora.
