Carmen and Swan Lake are undoubtedly two of the most famous works in the history of music.
Carmen's happy, sensual and gypsy melodies will take us to the most remote corners of 19th-century Spain where the gypsy Carmen falls in love with the bullfighter Escamilo. In the Orchestral Suite of the Opera Carmen, by G.Bizet, we will listen to fragments known worldwide such as "El Toreador," "La Habanera" and the "Gypsy Dance."
On the other hand, P. Tchaikovsky's ballet Swan Lake narrates an impossible love between Prince Siegfried and Odette, a young queen turned into a swan along with her entire court by the spell of the evil wizard Rothbar. The young woman can only regain her human form at night and she will only be freed from her curse by the one who promises her eternal love. The OMB orchestra will interpret the best-known fragments of the ballet in an orchestral version.
Finally, two big surprises. The famous Bolero, by M.Ravel, and unpublished works by the composer and director Roberto Laborda.
