Capernaum is the name of a biblical city, and its means "chaos." Zain is a 12-year-old boy who, after surviving on the streets of Lebanon decides to put an end to his trouble by taking his own parents to court. His accusation is that they have brought him into a world where he feels mistreated by an unequal society.
The feature film won the Jury Prize, Citizenship Prize and Ecumenical Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival, as well as being nominated at the Oscars, Golden Globes and BAFTAs for Best Foreign Language Film.
This film's original language is Arabic, and will be shown with Spanish subtitles. Catch the film at CaixaForum this summer!
