Blue Velvet is an American neo-noir mystery thriller that portrays the hidden and repressed aspects of a small American town. As the story unfolds, it takes us on an initiatory journey where the desire to explore the mysterious dimension of the world becomes the only way to access it.

With the release of this film, David Lynch became the author par excellence of modernity. Frank Booth's tormented and sadistic character also relaunched Dennis Hopper's career. It's a classic film of the late 20th century.
