Billy Elliot, Stephen Daldry (UK, 2000)

Eleven-year-old Billy Elliot leads a challenging life in County Durham. His everyday routine revolves around looking after his grandmother, while his father and brother are miners on strike. One day, when forced to go to boxing class at the gym, he discovers the existence of ballet and becomes completely obsessed. A modern classic of British cinema, full of music and dance, that challenges traditional gender roles.

Film will be screened in English and subtitled in Spanish.

The evening opens at 20:45 with live music from Alba Avilés & Victor Paradis quartet, performing Spanish, Latin American and Gypsy music.
