Bigger Than Trauma, Vedrana Pribačić, (2022, Croatia)

More than 20 years after the end of the wars in the Balkans, there are still people who live with the trauma and humiliation left by the conflict. This is the story of Marija, Katica and Ana, three women who saw their lives disappear with the outbreak of war and the beginning of a period of abuse and rape that has left an indelible mark. The long road to acceptance and search for identity is portrayed through an empowerment program for such victims in an attempt to regain the happiness of yesteryear.

The film is a part of the Brain Film Festival at the CCCB, and will be screened in its original version with Spanish subtitles.
