Bailar la locura, Marta Espar & Maiol Virgili, (2022)
How can madness be represented through dance? This is the premise for these contemporary dancers in this non-judgmental documentary, in which dance and mental health converge. With the challenge of choreographing madness, the three dancers drew on the experiences of three women diagnosed with a mental disorder during the creative process. Their various psychiatric diagnoses, methods of treatment and effects on their lives lead to a journey full of emotions, doubts and experiences
This film is a part of the Brain Film Festival at the CCCB, and includes an in-person presentation and post-screening with directors Marta Espar and Maiol Virgili.
