"Por el barrio se sabe qué pussy es el que manda,” (People in the neighborhood know which pussy is the boss), said Bad Gyal in Pai, her now iconic Catalan adaptation of Rihanna's "Work." Five years later, Bad Gyal’s neighborhood is now global: the boundaries that define it are provisional until further notice. Performing across the globe in the United States, Latin America, Asia and all of Europe. From a local diva who came to change our perceptions of Catalan music to an international phenomenon.

At school, she dreamed of going to Jamaica when she watched Sean Paul videos and, in the end, it was Jamaica that came to her in the form of a collaboration with the dance hall king Busy Signal, one of her first idols. Bad Gyal now, shares a label with Billie Eilish and Kendrick Lamar after smoking the underground in just a couple of drags. Her recent EP, Warm Up, has further expanded her reach, including collaborations with Khea and Rauw Alejandro.
