Querencia (Haunt) is a show that values Spanish dance in all its styles, in which boleros, flamenco rhythms and melodies that refer to creations by great composers such as Falla, Turina, Granados and Albéniz play a leading role, but with a vision and sounds that are contemporary. Made up of a mixed body of dancers dancing to music composed by the pianist Moisés Sánchez and recorded by the Extremadura Orchestra, one of the great challenges of Querencia has been to provide the repertoire of Spanish music with a new composition that fills the gap that exists in the current symphonic compositions for creators of Spanish dance.
The show is a journey through the interpretive and aesthetic beauty of the bolera school, stylized dance, traditional dance and flamenco, where the clothing and all the accessories that accompany the interpretation of these styles, such as the Cordovan hat, the manila, the Spanish cape, the bata de cola and the instrument that most characterizes Najarro, the castanets, are played by the company's versatile dancers, extolling the beauty and interpretative and aesthetic projection of dance.
