Cellist Alisa Weilerstein and the pianist Inon Barnatan present the opportunity to listen to all of Beethoven's sonatas for piano and cello in one single, impressive performance.
The autobiographical nature of Beethoven’s music is unquestionable. From symphonic to chamber forms, passing through vocal and theatrical music, Beethoven always speaks of himself in works that break with the classical models that the Bonn composer always strove to surpass. The dialogue between piano and cello, the search for the chromatic palette and timbral textures run through the five sonatas that Beethoven created between 1796 and 1815 in different periods of his turbulent life.
