This film confirms Carla Simón as one of the finest film-makers on the international scene. Alcarràs pays homage to the land, the family and traditions. For generations, the Solé family has cultivated great fields of peach trees in Alcarràs, a small rural town in Catalunya. But this summer, after eighty years farming the same land, it may be their last harvest. The original version is in Catalan with Spanish subtitles.

At 20:45 live music by Anna Tréa starts. Singer, instrumentalist and songwriter, Tréa fuses Brazilian rhythms including baiao or samba with world music sounds, blues and folk. The result is a resonant, powerful repertoire featuring catchy choruses and riffs full of swing and virtuoso skill.
