From Santa Coloma de Gramenet, pianist Adrià Blanco completed his studies in the United States where he specialized in contemporary repertoire and has been recognized by critics as one of the up-and-coming talents in this specialty. For his concert at the Palau he takes on the full piano works by fellow countryman Joan Magrané. Magrané is a Reus-born composer who has become one of the foremost names in music composition in the country and has been guest composer for the last three seasons at the Palau de la Música Catalana.
