The world tour to celebrate the 35th anniversary of A-Ha's debut album Hunting High And Low, released in 1985, is underway. Considered one of the most important in the history of pop music, the album, which is played in full on the tour's shows, introduced the world to timeless hits such as "Take On Me," "The Sun Always Shines On TV," "Train Of Thought" and "Hunting High And Low." Delayed because of the pandemic, the tour received rave reviews from the press and public acclaim.
High-profile admirers like U2’s Adam Clayton, Morrissey, Robbie Williams, Pet Shop Boys and Kanye West have all professed themselves A-ha fans, as has Coldplay’s Chris Martin who named the group as one of his early inspirations and “favorite bands of all time.” During 2008’s Viva La Vida tour, Coldplay covered "Hunting High And Low" and was joined by Magne at the Oslo concert, with Chris introducing him as “the best keyboard player in the world.”
The trio has also scored global hits with the James Bond theme "The Living Daylights" as well as "Cry Wolf," "I've Been Losing You" and the 2005 Max Martin-collaboration Analogue. A-ha's most recent release was an MTV Unplugged collection in 2017 featuring collaborations with Echo & The Bunnymen’s Ian McCulloch and Alison Moyet.
