Alessandrini is one of the most prestigious baroque music experts in the world. His recordings of works by Vivaldi are a reference point in the genre and to hear him conducting The Four Seasons with the Dutch violinist Liza Ferschtman is a luxury. In 1725 Vivaldi published twelve works under the title: The difficult balance between harmony and invention. They were works in which he posed the dilemma between respect for the classic writing rules and creative freedom. The first four works had unprecedented success: four pieces in which a solo violin stands out and, at the same time, different moments of the seasons are described. They were not only liked for the freshness and charm of their melodies, for the imitation of the wind, the rain and the birds, but also for the skill that the author showed in combining effects of all kinds (pizzicatos, glissandos, tremolos...). Alessandrini completes the program with Schubert's Second Symphony, one of the many jewels of the Viennese author that only began to be appreciated years after his death. It is a work with references to his admired Beethoven and possibly the happiest of his entire catalogue.
