He has been called the "digital crooner" and voted the most "beautiful man in the world." Swedish artist Jay-Jay Johanson, born in Trollhättan on October 11, 1968, began composing when he was a teenager, but it was not until August 1996 when the debut album Whiskey was released that he made his mark on the international scene. The instant success of the album, characterized by its jazz vocals laid over trip hop beats, led Jay-Jay on his first of many world tours.
27 years later, after numerous underground hits like "So Tell the Girl that I Am Back in Town," "Believe In Us," "On the Radio," and "Heard Somebody Whistle,” in collaboration with the Cocteau Twins and The Knife, Jay-Jay is still as active as ever. He has just released his 14th album, Fetish, and has begun a new tour around the world.
