Parentheses is a Barcelona based magazine of poetry and fiction that celebrates and showcases the amazing poetry and creative writing that is going on in the city. Now on its third issue, it’s been going from strength to strength, featuring not only English language writers, but Spanish, Catalan and many other nationalities and linguistic traditions too. It’s diverse poetry by writers from diverse backgrounds: a cross section of the eclecticism and variety that you can find in Barcelona’s creative community.
To find out more about the project, we spoke to three of Parentheses’ four editors: Valerie Coulten, Edward Smallfield and Emilie Delacourt. They talked to us about where the idea for the project came from, how the magazine has changed and what sort of writing you can expect in the new one.
