Metropolitan Culture Corner: Angels Bronsoms

Welcome to the 30th episode of the Metropolitan Culture Corner! To celebrate, Tori Sparks sat down with journalist, author, creative consultant, activist, feminist and so much more, Dr. Angels Bronsoms. Over the years, she has worked as correspondent for publications such as Popular1 and El País; as program director and DJ for Catalunya Radio; as an anchor for TV3; and most recently, as a freelance reporter for Radio4, where she offered an intersectional perspective on women in the entertainment industry on the Iberian peninsula.

She speaks several languages and has also worked as a translator in various contexts, including for Greenpeace in Latin America and the Caribbean, and even for Quincy Jones when he was on tour here in Spain. Angels is an advisor on gender representation for ESMUC and a published author of both books and articles; the main focus of her research these days is the history of women in music and feminist musicology. She always has an eye towards the future while continuing to both appreciate and critically examine the past. 

Last month, we interviewed Alex Alonso, founder of DHR Custom Guitars in El Prat de Llobregat. DHR specializes in adjustments, maintenance, modifications and repairs of guitar and bass instruments, both electric and acoustic, and also designs and creates their own guitars. DHR's impressive client list includes everyone from amateur players to high-end instrument collectors, and from established artists to famous producers.
