The TMB takes a ride back in time tonight and tomorrow night (April 15th and 16th), as the original metro trains used at the time of inauguration return to the tracks for two nights only. At 12.30am on both nights, a few lucky passengers will have the opportunity to travel on board the traditional trains, which were used for over 60 years until they were withdrawn from service in 1987.
On both nights, there will be a return journey between Sagrada Família and Sant Antoni, along the L2 route. Tonight, the train will also run between Lesseps and Plaça Catalunya (L3), which was the first section of metro line to be constructed in Barcelona. Tickets are sold out.
