A few words with Silicone Soul

The Scottish duo return to Barcelona this month with their eponymous latest album. We asked one half of the pair, Graeme Reedie, to talk about...

...their 10 years in the music business: We feel still feel like teenagers having the time of their lives—it’s great. I think you could live for a million years and still never exhaust all the possibilities that music has to offer.

...their residency at La Terrrazza: We’ve always had a fantastic time at La Terrrazza and have become great friends with all the team who work there—it’s one of our favourite parties in the world.

...the single ‘Right On, Right On’: It really changed our lives and allowed us the opportunity to keep making music through some more difficult times. I think personally the third LP Save Our Souls is like us really getting a grip with things as well.

...the label Darkroom Dubs: It has probably been the best year for the label, some of the highlights for me include the Sei A, Gary Beck and Liapin releases.

...their changing musical tastes: We are definitely drawn to deeper, more reflective moods in the studio whereas I really like a good dancing groove in the club.

...who they’re listening to: Our friend Andy Graham (Sei A) has been making some great music, and we really enjoy the sets by Oscar Aguilera.

...future plans: Repeat until fade.
