No Ma

Laura Cuch takes as her subject in this, her latest project, women who have for various reasons, voluntary of otherwise, not had children. Cuch investigates the still accepted idea that women gain their happiness and identity from having children - and what makes women still hold onto the belief that the right path in life is to be a mother and anything else is deemed as strange or a failure.
The second part in a trilogy, Cuch questions human nature and the differences between the biological and sociocultural factors linked to the human body. The first part was entitled Sense Son, (Without Sleep), portrayed people, again either voluntary or involuntary get less than 4 hours of sleep every day.
