Good neighbours

With the recent news that the number of foreigners living in Barcelona has surpassed 300,000 for the first time, it is not surprising that the number of creative types from abroad finding inspiration here is similarly thriving.

A prime example of this is being showcased this month by the Gracia Arts Project: ‘Luso in Cat’ is a celebration of Portuguese artists based in Barcelona, featuring a selection of their work that reflects and interprets life and culture in Catalunya. As well as the art covering various genres including illustration, photography and performance, there will be a wine-tasting (€30), evenings of music and story-telling, and workshops giving attendees the chance to get to grips with making art from paper (€30 for one workshop, €50 for two).
