The community

Since it was launched in 1996, Metropolitan has played a big role in Barcelona's international community. The city is home to many groups that provide an invaluable service both to foreigners who are still finding their feet in the city and to long-term residents.

Metropolitan collaborates in many community events around the city. Amongst others, we regularly support the Professional Women's Network, Startup Grind Barcelona, the American Society, TEDxBarcelona and many more.

We have also been sponsors of 4YFN, I Am Tomorrow, International Community Day, Startup Grind BCN-SF Summit, InterNations Turns 10 and more. 

Once a month we team up with Guiri Business to offer an international networking evening for entrepreneurs and foreign business people. This is an excellent opportunity to meet new and interesting people in the city. 

Besides our print magazine and online edition, we also let people know what's going on and help them connect with each another through our Thursday newsletter and our social media channels.
