Salut!
Enjoying a post-walk vermut
We now offer a monthly series of walking tours to let you discover in-depth the neighbourhoods of Barcelona. The first guided tour, which is given all in English, kicked off in April 2010 with a walk around Gràcia. The guide, Dan, explained the agricultural origins of the area, its urban development, periods of rebellion and cultural avant-gardism and its progress to become the bohemian 'barri' (neighbourhood in Catalan) it is today.
Take a look at the slideshow to see images taken during the walk—and keep an eye on our agenda to find out about upcoming walking tours that will let you find out more about the real Barcelona. The May walking tour will take in the uptown neighbourhood of Sarrìa: May 16th at 12pm, €12. Click here for more details.
