The Albareda Cultural Center is a municipal facility in the Poble-sec neighborhood, located next to the Parc de les Tres Chimenes and the Paral·lel avenue. The center specializes in music and offers a diverse cultural program and a wide range of workshops. It supports local organizations and groups in Poble-sec, as well as citizen-led initiatives and proposals, to promote community life and artistic creation.
It comprises over 1,870 m², spread across five floors, dedicated to the social and cultural development of the area, and more specifically, to the popular and traditional culture of the neighborhood.
The center displays various elements of festive imagery: the cat Sírius, from the Diables del Poble-sec, the Tres Xemeneies del Paral·lel, and the giant papier-mâché figures Ombra del Sol and Raig de Lluna, donated by Carla Aguilar.
