In the Comer Contigo initiative Óscar Manresa has partnered with a number of leading Barcelona chefs to cook in solidarity for those most in need in these extraordinary times.
Comer Contigo (Eat with You) is a solidarity meal initiative that has provided more than 1,000 meals per day to people who are homeless or at risk of social exclusion.
Comer Contigo delivers rescue meals to highly respected organizations that are committed to helping our communities, including the teams at the Arrels Foundation, Caritas, the dining rooms of Mother Teresa of Calcutta as well as the staff at Hospital Clinic. Through these community organizations, more than 20,000 meals have been provided to homeless and at-risk individuals.
All this has been possible thanks to the efforts of a number of leading Barcelona chefs who have encouraged each other to cook in solidarity for those most in need in these extraordinary times.
We speak today with one of the key individuals helping in this wonderful initiative: Óscar Manresa, a chef who owns and directs several restaurants, including the Casa Leopoldo, the centennial Casa Guinart, the Kawuai in Gavà Mar and Casa Tejada.
