
The Mobile World Congress comes to Barcelona next week, and with it come a host of fringe events. From networking over beers and pizza to 10km runs in Montjuïc, there is many an opportunity to rub shoulders with the tech entrepreneurs flooding the city.

1. 4YFN CLOSING PARTY
Wed. 24th Feb, 8pm at Sala Apolo
'Network hard, party even harder' is the slogan of the 4YFN (Four Years From Now) closing party. Join the startups, creators and innovators as they let their hair down after three days of hard work at the MWC's sister conference.

2. MOBILE SUNDAY 2016 with Tech.eu
Sun. 21st Feb, 6pm - 10pm at Antigua Fàbrica Damm
Hosted by digital communication strategist Rudy de Waele in collaboration with Tech.eu, Mobile Sunday brings industry experts together to take a look at future trends before the Mobile World Congress itself begins on Monday. Featuring 'fireside chats' with Mark Scott of The New York Times and Mike Butcher of TechCrunch, among others.

3. DIGITAL NOMADS MEETUP
Tue. 23rd Feb, 8pm - 11pm at Teatreneu.
This will be the sixth meetup of its kind, a testament to the growing trend for location-independent working in Barcelona. Open to anyone with an interest in the work-from-anywhere lifestyle, it is a chance to share experiences with other so-called Digital Nomads in the laid back setting of Teatreneu.

4. MOBILE READY CITY TOUR
Wed. 24th Feb, 10.30am - 1pm at Veritas, Carrer Diputació 239-247
The Mobile Ready Barcelona City tour is a walking tour in English, aimed at the International Community during the Mobile World Congress and organised by Barcelona City Council in partnership with Barcelona Activa. The tour will show how mobile innovations can be implemented in a real city environment, specifically in and around the Rambla Catalunya area. It is set to last two and a half hours and is free, however participants must sign up online to secure a space.

5. MWC 2016 NETWORKING RUN AND BEERS
Fri. 19th Feb - Thur. 26th Feb, 7pm at Lambicus
For those of you who brought your running shoes to the MWC, and who still have a bit of energy after the day's events, there are 8-10km runs every evening organised by personal trainer Sarah Hansson. The run will leave every day from Lambicus bar, following varied routes through Montjuïc, and participation costs €5 per person.
