With four decades of musical career to his credit, Italian singer Zucchero — the stage name of Adelmo Fornaciari — has no intention of retiring. If anything, he keeps reinventing himself. Zucchero has sold over 60 million albums throughout his career and has collaborates with the likes of Eric Clapton, Bono, Sting, and BB King, among others.
Zucchero is often referred to as the Italian Joe Cocker for his raw, expressive voice and explosive stage presence. His thirteenth studio album, DOC (Universal, 2019), is inspired by classic rock, blues, soul, and funk. This return to his rock origins will please the charismatic rocker’s die-hard fans, and will most likely win him new ones as well.
