British-Bahraini trumpeter Yazz Ahmed has been dubbed the "priestess of psychedelic Arabic jazz."  Her intoxicating and immersive music blurs the boundaries between contemporary jazz and electronic sound design, seamlessly incorporating the sounds of her rich cultural heritage. 

With a career that has taken her to stages across the globe — from the UK to the Middle East, North America, and Europe — Yazz Ahmed has performed at major festivals including WOMAD, Love Supreme, NYC Winter Jazz Fest, and Pori Jazz, among many others. She has also collaborated with artists as diverse as Radiohead, Lee Scratch Perry, Transglobal Underground, and Natacha Atlas, establishing herself as a key figure in global jazz.

Ahmed will play at El Molino as a duo with vibraphonist Ralph Wyld.
