Yago Oproprio, one of the most relevant artists in the Brazilian rap scene, arrives in Barcelona to share his powerful sound, marked by a melodic style and intense lyrics. Born in the East Zone of São Paulo, Cohab II, Oproprio carries within him the DNA of peripheral musical influences. As a child, he moved with his mother to Caracas, Venezuela. There, he learned Spanish and came into contact with the music of Calle 13, Orishas and Don Omar. These influences of Latin sound, which imbue his creations with rhythm and uniqueness, are the source of his musical heritage.
Back in Brazil, he settled in Cohab 1, Artur Alvim. In this territory, he forged a strong path with funk and national rap, with artists such as Sabotage, Duda Marapé, Sombra and Racionais, while also absorbing names like Chico Buarque, Moreira da Silva, Pedro Luís and Parede, among many others. From this blend of street art and peripheral art emerges an urban poetics that transcends a single world. Yago Oproprio explores the paths of dialogue with people and cities, leaping from the periphery to the world without abandoning his roots.
Rô Rosa, originally from São José dos Campos, São Paulo, is one of the most interesting artists on the new Brazilian music scene. From a young age, Rosa showed a deep connection to music. His first contact with art was in the church choir, where he began to cultivate his passion for music and artistic expression. After a significant experience in Boston, he returned to Brazil, where he went through a difficult period of introspection following the loss of a loved one and a heartbreak. It was during this vulnerable time that he found a violão with only three strings, which marked the beginning of his musical career. With this instrument, he began composing his first songs and, over time, formed a band and began taking his first steps in the music scene.
Rosa's music is deeply influenced by a wide range of genres, from MPB to lo-fi, including trap, rap, and samba. This fusion of styles has allowed him to create a unique sound that connects with both Brazilian tradition and current musical trends. Through his compositions, Rosa addresses universal themes such as love, saudade (longing), and the complexities of daily life, with lyrics that resonate deeply with his listeners. His authenticity and sensitivity have positioned him as one of the most relevant voices in contemporary Brazilian music.
