The products of the sea and their delicious combination with the products of the land constitute the basis of Calafell gastronomy, and of the famous seasonal “xató” salad, or the “arrossejat,” another iconic  local dish. The wide variety of restaurants in the municipality — some of which are internationally renowned — offer a succulent repertoire of flavors with local influences and traditions combined with modern aesthetics.
